For the second straight year, the University of Saint Mary has been named a "Best Value College" by The Princeton Review. USM is one of only 165 schools nationwide, out of 650, given this distinction.
The University of Saint Mary is one of only three Kansas schools named to the Review's "America's Best Value Colleges" index, and is the only university in the Kansas City Metropolitan area to earn the distinction. USM is also one of only two Kansas-based private universities in the index. USM was also named a 2007 "America's Best Value College" as well.
In the three-page University of Saint Mary profile in the index, one student is quoted, "This school has a good reputation, especially in the business and education departments, because the instructors really do care."
The only other Kansas schools to make "America's Best Value Colleges" were Kansas University, Emporia State University, and Sterling College.
The Princeton Review's "America's Best Value Colleges" index was created based on a survey of more than 650 college and university students and administrators. The survey analyzed 30 factors, including tuition prices, financial aid, and class sizes.
The Princeton Review is a New York City-based company known for its test-prep courses, books, and education services. Visit www.PrincetonReview.com for more information.
